Antique 20th Century large Persian Solid Silver jug / decanter, exceptional quality, of bellied form with a tall twisted neck, beautifully chased in relief with figures in a landscape, extremely fine and detailed, surrounded by intricate foliage, detachable stopper. The base is Hallmarked Persian silver (84 for 875 silver standard), city of Isfahan, Maker's mark in Farsi (unknown to me, but by quality surely one of the best silversmiths in Isfahan), retailer's mark "VARTAN", year about 1900-20.
