Please give it some time, large files might take a while to load! Very heavy head made from brass.Basically this is a civilian Polish weapon from the mid 18th century in my opinion also serving as a walking stick (like most Polish war hammers). The head is very heavy brass and very nicely decorated. Obuch is the Polish name for a war hammer with a curved beak, in case of this one the curved beak goes around in a complete circle and also has a raised section on the striking side that would be damaging when hitting someone. This is a very nice example of such weapon very rare.
I can give you more details about these weapons and some links if you request. The wood section is made from hard wood but is probably newer than the head but not new.
The hammer is 32 inches long the head is around 5 inches wide and the brass section of the shaft also around 5 inches. Please scroll down to see all the pictures.
