Finest Antique Persian Islamic Solid Silver Tea Glass Holders Sugar Bowl Tea Set

For sale is this this extremely fine quality sugar bowl and set of six solid silver tea glass holders, complete with 6 solid silver spoons. The quality is among the finest you will find on a set like this. The sugar bowl and tea glass holders have been hand chased with Qajar style scenes. The makers of the sugar bowl and tea glass holders was Mohammad Hadi Nazari. His works are quite rare, so you will hardly ever come across his works.

If you look at the photos , he hand chases his name onto his pieces rather than using a hallmark stamp like others. Truly shows he took his time with his pieces and personally finished them with his own signature. The lid has been chased with different animals, all very finely hand chased.

It has been finished off with a beautiful little floral finial at the top. The body of the sugar bowl has two mains scenes hand chased. The scenes portray different groups of Qajar style people. The background has been completed with a very densely chased floral pattern.

The set of six tea glass holders have been chased with the same style. There are further people, and single portraits of different Persian kingss inluding Shah Abbas and Mohammad Shah Qajar. There are also six solid silver teaspoons however they were made by Bagher Parvaresh and so don't belong to the original set, however there is no reason why they cant be used together. The six silver tea glass holders have all been signed by Mohammad hadi Nazari.

However the sugar bowl is not signed but clearly by the same maker. The six spoons have been hallmarked with Bagher Parvaresh's name. All the silver has been tested and is guaranteed to be high grade solid silver. Please note that I have taken a picture of the hallmarks of tea glass holder. The last photos of the hallmarks is the last photos of that particular glass holder and the next photo below is of the next glass holder.

The sugar bowl has a height of 11.3cm. The width from one handle to the other handle of the sugar bowl is 15.5cm The sugar bowl weighs 343.2 grams. The height up to the handle tea glass holders is 6cm. The diameter at the base of the silver cup holders is 6.4cm The total weigh of the 6 silver glass holders only is 472.5 grams. The six spoons have a length of 10cm and the total weight of all six is 63 grams.

So the total weight of all the silver in this set is 878.7 grams. They are in excellent condition. Minor signs of use, overall fantastic condition. Please see all photos abov.
