A spectacular, large and heavy Persian solid silver box featuring an intricate hand carved, chased and engraved design with central medallion featuring various birds surrounded by floral cartouches. There are maker and silver marks on the bottom of the box, the numbers 84 in Arabic represents the silver standard of 84% purity, similar to the Russian Imperial standard.

A very fine, top quality Persian solid silver box made by a master class silver-smith. An outstanding box in excellent condition. Please see all photos for details. Size : 15.25 cm (6" inches) x 15.25 cm (6") x 4 cm (1.5). Weight : 646 gr (1.42 lbs/pounds; 22.78 oz).
