PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT MY OTHER ITEMS FOR MORE MIDDLE EASTERN / ISLAMIC ITEMS. For sale we this breathtaking large Kashmiri enameled copper tray. The tray has a beautiful floral shape and dates from late 19th Century.

It is a very heavy and good quality example. The copper has been hand chased and chiseled with beautiful scrolling floral work all over. It then then been enameled with the typical colours of Kashmiri Enamelware. The breathtaking turquoise, and darker shade of blue and ruby red work in perfect harmony.

There is beautiful open work around the edge and in the centre of the tray too. It is very rare to find a Kashmiri tray of this size.

It is an extremely rare piece. Those that collect Kashmiri enamelware will know how rare it really is. The tray is absolutely breathtaking - its a one of a kind!! The diameter of the tray at the widest point, from corner to corner is 50.5cm = 19.9 inches. The tray is in very good condition.

Most of the gilding that would have been on it has worn off. Overall very nice condition for its age. Please see the photos shown above.
