Museum Worthy Finest Antique Persian Islamic Solid Silver RABEI Tea Set 1699g

For sale is this breathtaking antique Persian solid silver tea set. It consists of a beautiful charming coffee pot , teapot and sugar bowl.

The tea set was made by Rabei. Rabei was one of the best silversmiths of the 20th century. His worth are among the most collectible. He had made pieces for the Persian Royal Family as well as the Shah himself. He also made specially commissioned pieces for diplomats and foreign heads of state etc.

This particular tea set has been hand chased with extremely fine designs. There are fantastic geometric / floral motifs.

There are also tiny charming birds among the flowers. I particularly love the shapes of the three pieces. They are very very elegant. They also have beautiful wooden handles. I cannot stress how fine and how beautiful this silver tea set really is.

The pieces have been tested and are guaranteed to be solid silver of high purity 875 grade. They have also been hallmarked with the numbers 84 and also have been hallmarked with the maker's name - RABEI. The 84 hallmark represents silver purity of 87.5%.

It was introduced into Persia by the Soviet Union (Russians) in the early 1900's. The height of the coffee pot is 22.5cm.

The length from the handle to spout is 21.5cm. The height of the teapot is 18.5cm.

The length of handle to spout is 20cm. The sugar bowl has a height of 16.3cm. The length from one handle to the other is 18cm.

The larger coffee pot weighs 700.6 grams. The teapot weighs 553.9 grams. The sugar bowl weighs 444.5 grams. So the total weigh of the set is an amazing high 1699 grams. Thats' just under 1.7kg of solid silver!

They are in excellent condition, no major damage, so it would make an excellent addition to your Persian silverware. However the lids of the coffee pot and sugar bowl have been disconnected from the actual body of the coffee pot and sugar bowl. However the lids fit perfectly onto the actual sugar bowl and coffee pot. Overall, the set is in very good condition.
