Up for sale very fantastic, rare & collectibles mughal Indo-Persian rajput Sikh Maratha sword late mughal era northern India sword form Rajasthan area. The blade is genuine hand forged wootz type old Damascus steel (sakela) pattern blade. Pattern is very light but visible.
Blade is in original condition with pitting & patina say it's (sekela) old Damascus steel. Probably a high quality fighting blade dating from the nineteenth century. Single edge blade, and little rust can been seen on blade or sword hilt. Sword handle has fine silver mughal koftgari work.
Back side has sun-rise flower design. The work almost alive on it. Cover made from wood and designing cloth. The grip would comfortably fit a full, but smaller hand than today's average hand size.
