Or sale is this breathtaking antique Persian solid silver box. The box has been densely hand chased with magnificent floral patterns. There are also two charming little birds near the bottom of the lid. The lid has an oval mother of pearl plaque mounted to the centre. This has been hand painted with a beautiful scene with many figures.

The quality of this painting is unbelievably fine. The heads of the figures are only 2-3mm in length, however the faces have been painted beautifully. The sides of the box has been hand chased with floral motifs, beautifully completed to a very high standard.

Do not miss out on purchasing this magnificent, extremely rare silver box. The box is hallmarked with the maker's name - "Reza". It has also been hallmarked with "84" for the purity of the silver. I have tested it and it is definitely solid silver of high purity.

The length of the box is 18cm. The width of the box is 8.3cm The height of the box is approximately 3cm (including mother of pearl plaque).

The weight of the box is a very impressive 407.9 grams. The box is in fantastic condition. There is some slight wear in areas on the painted mother of pearl plaque, but this is a very old box, and the wear is consistent with its age.
