A Must for Collectors Of Cairoware , Mamluk Revival , Persian & Islamic Art in General. Made in Early 1900's Damascus/ Cairo or Ottoman Territories. This three piece majestic ewer & basin set has the most sublime and finest calligraphy.

Izar of Milano were like Liberty's or Harrods of London. The insatiable obsession for the orient in Europe and the United States in the late 1800's and early 1900's ensured that. Firms like Izar were willing to stamp their names on high quality wooden and metalware made in Damascus and Cairo. The basin and ewer are stamped with the Izar name. In the Mamluk Revival storyline and I have not seen another.
