Vintage Jerusalem Israel Bezalel Brass Dagger & Sheath Fish Lion Deer Gazelle

This listing is for a Vintage Jerusalem Israel Decorative Brass Dagger & Sheath , with a Fish shape design with very detailed engravings of animals and people and arabic inscriptions. Images of a lion feasting on a deer, a gazelle running, soldier yielding his sword with a bird flying in the background.

Another panel of two birds and, two floral panels. The dagger also has 6 panels with Arabic / Kufic writings / inscriptions. If someone can read it, please let me know. Most of the body exterior has acquired a patina, although the blade seems fresher, as it was not exposed while seated in the sheath.

The blade, even though decorative has a sharp edge, and is decorated on both sides with floral and arabesque scrolling. The blade is marked " Jerusalem " on one side and " Israel " on the other side. 16 5/8 inches overall length , 2 1/8 inches widest at the crown of the handle , 1 5/8 inches widest at the scabbard's raised lip. Has good overall weight, weighs over 2 lbs. Images are continuous and have an order front , back, sides, etc..
