Pierced Copper Mosque Lantern Handblown Glass Moorish Islamic c1890-1920

Spectacular antique pierced copper pendant lantern with handblown bubble glass for candles (battery or flame). Casts a dramatic, inviting light. The two piece lantern (Upper and Lower) is fitted with three long chains made of loops of antiqued copper wire that begin at the base of the top hanging hook. Within the base of the lantern are 7 holes designed with fittings to hold antique hand blown bubble glass.

The center fitting holds the largest of the blown glass pieces and is a calming ocean blue. The upper diameter of this piece of glass is approx 3" and measures approx 8" base of pontil bubble.

The other six pieces of blown glass surround the center one and project slightly outward from center. Colors of the other glass tubes are Blue/Green, Turquoise (x2), Clear (x2) and Brown. There is a crack in one of the clear and one blue tubes, shown in pic. One of the turquoise tubes has some breakage around the flanged neck (shown in pic).

This breakage is not in sight and doesn't hinder proper functional use. Total Length from Hanging Hook to Pontil of Longest Blown Glass Tube is Approx. Widest diameter is approx 14.
