ANTIQUE PERSIAN SAFAVID DIVAN GOLISTAN BUSTAN SAADI POETRY BOOK DATED 1070AH

It includes Bustan and Golistan Saadi. The manuscript is beautifully hand written on paper in Nastaliq script.

It consists of 164 folios. (approximately 330 pages with hand written script) - the first part Golistane Saadi written on seventeen lines per page in black ink. The second part Bustan Saadi written on twenty lines per page also organised into two columns. The two illuminated front pages beautifully written on a blue background decorated with gold floral motifs. It is dated and signed to the Margin.

Signed " Mohammad Saleh Modaheb" and dated 1070 (Hijri Date) which equates to the year 1659! It has a beautiful leather binding with stamped embossed decoration and a golden medallion. The dimensions are 23.8cm X 17.5cm = 9.4 inches X 6.9 inches. The book has some pages missing. Some pages maybe in slightly wrong order. Pages disconnected from the binding.
