Horizontally on its hinge, making an'L' shape when open. The box's excellent quality. Becomes evident when the inside of the lid is visible. The sides of the box.Is a sure sign of. Tiny, engraved petals serve as the background upon which the larger flowers sit.
The box sits on four feet, one placed in each corner. The underside of the box is blank, apart from the maker's mark sitting in one of the corners.
