Vintage Persian Design Large Brass Repousse Bowl With Birds & Formal Patterns

A Persian design large brass bowl with central well. It features a repousse design with a formal pattern around the outer rim and stylised birds and trees in the margin.

It has a deep center well which is plain and has a plain lip, the rim is folded for extra strength. It is polished pretty much throughout. The large size makes it suitable as a feature piece or table center. Consider using it for floating candles where the light will glitter off the brass. No makers signature, probably early to mid century in date.

Typical for period, some minor knocks around the rim and in spots about the body. Some minor denting around the bowl section. Generally kept polished, some dark spots and patina in the crevices and some oxidisation particularly to the inner bowl section. General condition as per images.
