More likely, they date to the late 18th or 19th century. Presumably, they were made in the same manner from the 1500s all the way up until probably the early 1900s. This is a nice, typical emerald green flattened chestnut style measuring Just over 9 inches tall with a full applied string neck and very crude mouth. Honest wear to the base.Excellent overall condition with just one tiny open seed bubble to the body. This example does stand upright, but is very unstable. Many do not stand upright at all.
