19th C Persian Paper Mache Qalamdan/Pen Box-Qajar/Ottoman/Islamic/Turkish

This is a very detailed and superbly done 19th century Persian paper mâché pen box, or Qalamdan, with miniature paintings on three sides, and gold floral decorations on the bottom and on the sides of the drawer part. There is also a small ink well, made of brass, inside the drawer part of the pen box (see the photos). The pen box is in very good condition regarding its age. SIZE: About 9" X 1 3/4" X 1 3/8.
