A 19th Century Persian Inkwell (Qalamdan)

A 19th century Persian pen box and inkwell (Qalamdan), etched with cartouches of calligraphy and animal figures. The qalamdan was used by calligraphers, to store their brushes/feathers in the long pen box and dry in the square container.
