Ancient Bactrian Idol. Ibex And Serpent Motifs

This piece shows two ibex which is a common image in ancient Persian tree of life art and even down to NW India. Also there are serpents and an image of two facing each other. This speaks to the pre Zoroastrian central Asian root religious thought.

The two serpents likely represent duality, what became a large theme in the religions or the region. Also we know the image as the caduceus.
