UP FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE 16TH OR 17TH CENTURY INDIAN TINNED COPPER EWER. THIS BEAUTIFUL EWER WAS CREATED BY INDIAN CRAFTSMAN MOST LIKELY FROM THE DECCAN. THE BODY IS DECORATED WITH REPEATING BOTEH LEAFS, ABOVE AND BELOW BANDS OF ISLAMIC CALLIGRAPHY, THE FACETED NECK ENGRAVED WITH REPEATING VERTICAL BANDS OF BLOSSOMIONG FLOWERS. AGE: CIRCA 1600 (16TH OR 17TH CENTURY MADE). CONDITION: EXTREMELY GOOD CONDITION THROUGHOUT, NO CHIPS , NO CRACKS, NO RESTORATION, THE TINNING HAS ALL BUT WORN OFF LEAVING A RICH BRONZE/COPPER PATINA, THE LID IS MISSING AS WITH MANY MUSEUM EXAMPLES OF THIS AGE, WEAR COMMENSURATE WITH AGE.
