An old Damascene Arab basket, estimated to be from the 18th to the early 19th century. Owned by my great-grandfather at the age of fifteen, it is one of the most important antiques I own today. My younger grandfather told me that she was the king of an old tribe chief. I hope will go this piece on to someone who cares about it.
