Antique 19 Century Islamic Qajar Lacquer Papier Mâché Fath Ali Shah Large Mirror
A Remarkable Large 19th Century Qajar Lacquer Papier Mâché Mirror Depicting a Hunting Scene of Fath Ali Shah Qajar with His Sons (Qajar Princes). This is a beautiful Antique Islamic Art from the Qajar Dynasty Handmade & Hand-Painted with great details. The painting of characters and nature is remarkable and all color shades are natural and particular of Qajar Paintings of this era. On one side as you can see in the photos is the Lacqure painting of Fath Ali Shah Qajar Hunting with Black & Red Borders having Gold Illuminated Floral Patterns and on the other side is the Mirror with same Black & Red Border as the front.
The Mirror has some small signs of age and loss of background as you can see in the photos. You can easily change that to a new mirror but in my opinion, it's better to keep the original as it is more beautiful and still in good condition. It is a relatively large piece as compared to other Lacquer Arts of Qajar Dynasty. Size: 12.5 x 9.5 Inchs (31.75 x 24.13 CM).
