Antique 19thC Finely Inlaid MOP, Brass & Copper, Persian Export Tea Caddy Box

Bound on the edges with brass this antique Persian Export Tea Caddy is decorated with Mother of Pearl inlay. There also is very fine, Brass and Copper Wire inlaid Persian designs and at the top is the original brass handle. Measuring 4 7/8" square by 5 1/8" tall this Tea Caddy does have some issues. In the close-up photographs you will see that the inlaid keyhole is missing and some tiny pieces around the handle.

There also is an old strong repair to the back of the lid, with a small piece missing from the back corner. It is difficult to see but the inside of the cover has a thin piece of glass over the paper. I assume that the inside once was also lined in glass, but it is missing.
