Antique Brass Persian Spice Box Casket Shell Islamic Arabic Blessing. This gorgeous brass box with hinged lid was likely a Syrian, Persian or Ottoman spice, tea or casket box. Usually these are inlaid with wood but this is not, hence the open bottom. It is Islamic in design and has a blessing written on the back, "May God Bless You" in Arabic written in a way to form a pattern like a monogram would have 3 initials intertwined. Rare piece that would look beautiful sitting anywhere in your home.
