This antique Ghalamker textile was hand woven and block printed in Isfahan (Esfahan), in a a traditional image of Lovers sharing a Marital Cup. The border around mimics the scene as the powerful Lion chases to embrace the delicate Deer. This beautiful textile was already aged by the time it was gathered in the mid 1950s by Sharon Schulman of Colorado Springs, CO. A university trained Fabric Artist, Reiki Master and "World Traveler Extraordinaire". The table cloth measures 45 inches by 45 inches, and 63 inches on the diagonal (114 cm x114cm, 160 cm diag).
