It measures from field to tip 30.5 inches long. The sword blade is made out of what apears to be iron.
It is somewhat pitted and a bit worn however the blade still has an edge to it. The hand-guard is made from what appears to be brass. The handle is made from wood and appears to be held together by an old piece of felt string and some old iron handmade nails.
The sword has a notch cut out of the backside of the sword as pictured. Also there is a series of dots on the side of the sword.
It kind of reminds me of a constellation. There is a hallmark towards the field of the sword as pictured. Piece to be extremely old based on the authentic where in the estate from which it was retrieved.
