Antique Islamic Copper Niello Table. Benares Type with Carved Wood Folding Legs. This is unusual in that these tables are mostly seen in brass - this one is done in copper Niello work.

Its possibly Indian Arabic or Middle Eastern In origin. This has good age - I have cleaned the front - although left the back with its original tarnish - It was all that tarnished when I first got it. Measures 62cm diameter and stands 46cm tall. There are a few minor losses to the Niello but it is 95%niello intact. Lovely item - I have not seen one this nice for a while.
