Antique Islamic Ottoman Embroidered Jacket Red Velvet Gold Women's Mintan

Jacket is in good antique condition with some evidence of alteration / repair to the inner liner and elsewhere. Pink threads seen in photos appear to have been added at some point after the garment's original manufacture.

Garment appears to date to the late 19th / early 20th century. It appears to be a women's garment in a very small (perhaps a contemporary XS) size. Measurements (taken with garment laying flat). Armpit to armpit - 16.5. Length (back of collar to hem) - 17.
