Antique Islamic/Persian/Arabic Brass Wide Base Candlestick. Possibly 17th C

An antique Islamic/Persian/Arabic single brass candlestick with a large diameter base. There are decorative stamps around the perimeter of the base and what appears to be a makers mark. Measuring 9.5 tall the base has a diameter of 8.5. It has some expected marks, dings and wear associated with age and use.

There is an old soldered repair around the base that needs attention again as the photographs clearly show. I think there was originally a further fitting on top of the sconce. Please study the photographs as they form part of the description. Nothing could be further from the truth. Perhaps my remaining 1500 feedback will prove otherwise.
