Antique Islamic shamshir sword (sabre) - Probably Ottoman or Mamluk, 18th 19th. Traditional maker's mark on one side of the blade. This famous mark usually comes from Styria province in Austria. The grip is made of wood and horn.

It has been restored, and it is not very well done. On one side of the grip there is a small decorative piece made of gold. Beautiful gold inlaid iron guard.

Restoration of the grip is not of good quality. The blade has been recently polished. Strong and solid, no movement. Length (straight line) 97cm (38 1/4). Blade length (straight line) 82,5cm (32 1/2).
