Antique Moroccan koumya (koumaya jambiya) dagger with solid silver scabbard - Circa 1930. This really is a wonderful dagger of very high quality work and noble materials. The scabbard is chiseled silver.
There are several "ram's head" punches on the silver (this is the Moroccan punch for silver used since 1925 - see picture 10) Weight of the scabbard 243gr (8,57oz) Double edged curved blade The grip is made with the traditional material. Ornaments of the handle is chiseled silver. The silver collar of the handle closed to the blade does not hold (but there is absolutely no damage, just have a fix with glue or other). The whole thing is strong and solid, no movement.
Length 42cm (16 1/2 in). Length without scabbard 39,5cm (15 1/2 in). Blade length 23cm (9 in). Weight 488gr (17,21 oz). Weight without scabbard 245gr (8,64oz). Weight of the scabbard 243gr (8,57oz).
