ANTIQUE OTTOMAN ISLAMIC ARABIC SILK Kaaba CURTAIN silver & Copper embroidered

Made more than 200 years at 1227. Curtain for the door of the Kaba. This sumptuous and heavily embroidered textile was made to be placed over the door of the Kaba.

The piece here is of red silk with yellow & Green silk appliqués embroidered with Copper plated with silver and gold-gilt wire. It is lavishly decorated with bold arrangements of Arabic inscriptions from the Quran and other phrases is written it is very rare peice which was made from silk silver copper since it has lot of versus of quran which they used to cover with it kaaba door it is very old since these is very rare peice and it will not be found again. In the central yellow is the dedication in the name of the Ottoman Sultan Mahmoud Khan bin Sultan Abdul Hamid Khan next to date 1227 Hijiri The curtain was made at the Dar al-Kiswa in Cairo, it was made yearly, and was carried along with the mahmal as part of the Hajj caravan. The Ottoman sultans name, Mahmoud Khan bin Sultan Abdul Hamid Khan who had the imperial prerogative of ordering the replacement of textiles for the Kaba, appears at the yellow circle next to date 1227 Hijiri. Name:Sitara curtain of kaaba.

Material:Silk; embroidered with heavy silver and silver-gilt thread with additional coloured silk panels. Witings on the curtain of kaaba. At top verses of quran. Say:'He is Allah, the One. Who has not given birth, and has not been born.

And there is none equal to Him. This honorable curtain of the door of Reda At Kaaba. Also it is written at top at yellow silk versus of quran.

Peace be upon you; you have become pure; so enter it to abide eternally therein, [they will enter]. Also it is writen on green silk down.

There is no god to be worshiped but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. On the 2 green silk it is writen qurN verse. Do not enter houses other than your own unless you have obtained willing permission and mind! You should greet the inmates of these (houses).

That is better for you. You have been given this commandment that you may be heedful. Also at big silk at middle it is writen verse of quran.

Say, `Everyone acts after his own way and fashion and your Lord knows very well who is best guided in the right path. Also it is writen on 2 sides 4 times. Also it is writen down at red silk. Say:'Allah's will (be done)! There is no power but with Allah.

If thou dost see me less than thee in wealth and sons. It is writen down on right on yellow silk.

The mercy of Allah and His blessing be on you, O the family (of Ibrahim). Also it is writen on left verse of quran. Verily, We have given you a manifest victory.

At the middle you can see at yellow silk down name of sultan. Mahmoud Khan bin Sultan Abdul Hamid Khan and his signature and next to him date 1227 Hijiri.

Down At at green silk on both sides it is writen verse. Members of the house (of the Prophet of God)! Verily, Allâh desires to rid you of (all) uncleanliness and to purify you completely.
