Antique Persian Islamic Beggar's Bowl Dervish Kashkul Tinned Copper Calligraphy

ANTIQUE PERSIAN ISLAMIC BEGGAR'S BOWL DERVISH KASHKUL TINNED COPPER CALLIGRAPHY. The Kashkul was used by the Muslim Dervish doing pilgrimage to Mecca or Medina for drinking, holding food and begging. Classic oval boat form attached with thee original chain - the tinned copper body hand-chased with elaborate designs and with a band of Arabic calligraphy all around the top rim. Good condition for the age - no repairs, all original - some losses to the tin that allow red copper to show which for me adds to the charm of the item. It measures 21 cm wide x 11.2 cm wide - chain is 65 cm long.
