Antique Persian Qajar Islamic Art Handmade 26.4 Brass Tray Layla Majnoon Story
An Original Antique (from Qajar period) and very decorative Persian/ Islamic Art Hammer Engraved Large Brass Tray. This tray is fully handmade and decorated with very beautifully hammer engraved lots of details about a very famous Persian Lyla And Majnoon's love story. Subjects on this tray: I just can say if you know this story, then you will see the full story of Layla and Majnoon engraved on this tray, poems about love, a king and war, people, school, religion, birds and animals.. It is a great example of Persian Metalwork Art.
Age: The engraving style looks like from Qajar period and back of the tray is very dark and looks like very old. Front of tray several times polished in before. Probably, it's from pre 1900s. Measures: 67.5cm = 26.4 in diameter. It's in good size for hanging on wall or using it as a table tray.
A nice handmade wooden stand is available at extra cost, if you do let me know for the price and adding it to the invoice before paying this tray. Unpacked weight: approx 4.030 kg and it's quite large and heavy. Condition: Good for it's age with no any crack around rim, as seen in images.
