Antique Qajar Large Lacquer Papier Mache Photo Album Miniature Persian

Beautiful photo album with extraordinary decoration, in gently used condition. The photographs have been removed. The album is 18 5/8" long in 10 7/8" wide with 14 heavy black pages, each with a cellophane protector. The paiper Mache front and back covers, have blue, and red enamels, and gold leaf designs.

The front shows a multicolored castle/temple; the back has five mounted hunters, chasing deer. These central images swim among the gold curlicue, and the occasional image of lions attacking deer. It shows a bit of loss because the age. Please see the pictures as a part of description.
