Antique Set 2 Ottoman Turkish Gold-Embroidered Brocade Silk Mats Tablecloths Doily Placemats. For your consideration is a set of two square Doily place mats, made of fine silk, all hand embroidered with Golden thread. Both quite similar, one having a Yellow background color, the other Blue, though the patterns in the ornamentation slightly differ. A circular border, with Crescent Moon symbols at the corners.

Inside, four panels surround a central medallion. Gold embroidered Brocade Sultan Tughra in the center rosette of each. The yellow one has 4 black silk medallions surrounding the Thugra with quotations or blessings from the Holly Quran.
