Early Persian Figural Pottery Ewer. This is a magnificent & large, early Persian painted pottery ewer.

The figure is depicted in a profusely patterned robe with clasped hands. Decorating the head are a head dress, 2 tier earrings & a torque neck band. The ewer stands 12 inches tall. Probably 12th - 14th century.

CONDITION no apparent damage or repair, wear to the paintwork & calcification - as per images. The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
