Extremely Fine Quality Antique Persian Islamic Hallmarked Solid Silver Tray 921g

For sale is this extremely fine quality antique Persian solid silver tray. Has been adorned with breathtaking hand designs scenes. In the centre of the tray is a stunning scene of exotics birds among dense foliage, very finely hand chased to the highest of standards. Around this central scene, there are wild lions attacking deer. The level of detail is magnificent, if you look closely you can see the ferociousness on the faces of the lions, and the worried faces of the poor deer. There is a rich and dense floral background to the rest of the tray with scrolling vines completing the tray beautifully.

There is a simple yet elegant floral border to the tray which frames the piece beautifully. The tray has been tested and is guaranteed to be solid silver of high purity. It has also been hallmarked with "84" which represents the purity of the silver. There is also a hallmark of the maker's name which seems to be PARVARESH. The Parvaresh family were a very important family of silversmiths and hand chasers.

The size of the tray is 38.5cm X 26.5cm. The tray weighs a very heavy 921.4 grams, so nearly 1KG!! The tray is in excellent condition. Please see all photos abov.
