Extremely Fine Quality Antique Persian Tabriz Islamic Solid Silver Tray 883g

For sale is this very rare antique Persian solid silver tray from the city of Tabriz. Tabriz silver is not like Isfahan silver.

It has its own distinctive style similar to Iraqi silver niello work. This particular tray has a stunning scene of a lion attacking a snake in the centre of the tray. This scene has been framed with a beautiful border around it.

There are beautiful flowers throughout the tray, completed to perfection. A very very rare scene. Normally Tabriz silver is completed with floral and geometeric patterns. So it is very rare to find a scene like the one on the tray of the lion and snake.

The tray has been tested and is guaranteed to be solid silver of high purity. It has also been hallmarked in two places to the back of the tray.

The size of the tray is 37.8cm X 27.2cm. The tray weighs a very heavy 883.2 grams, so nearly 1KG!!

The tray is in excellent condition. Please see all photos abov. Sometimes certain items will not be packed together if one of them is very fragile.
