This listing is for a Fantastic Antique Middle Eastern Hand Hammered Tinned Copper Dig / Cooking Pot / Cauldron Pot About 11 3/8 inches length diameter on concave base, 8 3/8 inches in top exterior rim diameter, 5 1/2 inches tallest when seated, turned lip as shown with lip having dents as shown , weighing 1299 grams net weight, Very at surface green copper oxidation on interior and on some spots on exterior as shown. I have cleaned exterior one round with rubbing alcohol, which does dissolve and remove oxidation, so by repeating same a couple of times, you should be able to remove all green oxidation on exterior and if desired, reduce green interior oxiation. I have not messed with interior and just have vacuumed and brushed it.
Very sound and strong body condition otherwise. This would be classically called a DIG (where word tahdig comes from) A thing of the past. Probably last time I saw anything like it was half a century ago or more.
Would make a great planter also. Images are continuous and have an order front, back, sides, etc.. And should be viewed in continuous fashion. There are a total of 10 images of this item posted within the body of this listing. Make sure you see them all.
