Fine Antique Ottoman Islamic Brass/Copper (Tombak) Coffee Pot

Fine Antique Ottoman Islamic Brass/Copper (Tombak) Coffee Pot. 8 5/8" tall x 6 1/4" wide. Unusual oval bulbous form on splayed foot with long neck flared at the top with a domed, hinged lid surmounted by a Crescent and Star finial.

Scrolling curvilinear vine handle and spout. The body, foot, lid and base of the spout are decorated with finely engraved floral motifs. Great gold brass color with warm copper highlites and silvered background.

Light normal allover wear from age and use. A couple of small bumps around the wide bulbous waist and a slight bump on the bottom of the foot, none of which detract (see photos).

A beautiful antique pot with an unusual sinuous form.
