FINEST ANTIQUE 19th C ISLAMIC PERSIAN QAJAR SILVER INLAID BRASS OPEN WORK JAR

PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT MY OTHER ITEMS FOR MORE MIDDLE EASTERN / ISLAMIC ITEMS. For sale we have this EXTREMELY fine quality antique early 19th century Qajar brass lidded jar. The jar has been completed with some of the beautiful open worked design combined with the finest hand chasing. All around the jar there are breathtaking scenes of figures which include a King, warriors, mythical beasts and creatures. Each scene has been framed with an oval silver inlaid border. The lid of the jar has been decorated all over in similar work. This is one of the finest pieces of 19th century Qajar brass ware you will come across. The hand chasing are absolutely breathtaking. The open work is extremely fine. A lovely example of the finest 19th century Qajar work. The height of the jar up to the top of the lid is 30. Cm = 11.8 inches.

The jar is in very good overall condition. One tiny area of loss to the open work which has been circled in red in the last photo above. A repair to the neck on the lid, but has been completed very well.
