HUGE ANTIQUE 19th C PERSIAN ISLAMIC MAMLUK REVIVAL OPEN WORK BRASS MOSQUE LAMP

Please take the time to view all the photos (I know there are lots - and I apologise). I have taken photos of the lamp before it was cleaned, after it was cleaned, and also with a light shining inside of it. Please note that, the lamp does not come with a light or any wiring. The lamp is made from brass and has been beautifully decorated with open work designs. There is a combination of floral work, animals, people and some beautiful Arabic calligraphy.

It is a truly magnificent piece that will leave you utterly amazed. There are three beautiful dragon heads which stand out wonderfully.

There are also stained glass panels going around the lamp. I have shined a light inside the lantern in some of the photos to really emphasize the open work and to also show the beauty transformation of the piece. A truly rare and decorative antique Islamic lamp dating from early 1800's offered with no reserve and a low start price. The height of the lamp (NOT INCLUDING CHAINS) is 56cm. The diameter of the lamp (NOT INCLUDING DRAGON HEADS) is 43cm = 16.9 inches.

The height of the lamp will of course be more if you include the chains. Also the diameter will be more if you include the dragon heads. The lamp is in good condition for its age. There are some cracks and repairs. Also one of the stained glass panels is half broken.

This can easily be replace very very cheaply if you decide to do so. Please check the last few photos for the damage. Please see the photos shown below. THESE PHOTOS ARE FROM BEFORE THE LAMP WAS CLEANED. THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS SHOW THE LAMP AFTER IT WAS CLEANED AND ALSO WITH A LIGHT SHINING INSIDE THE LAMP.
