HUGE OLD ANTIQUE ISLAMIC CAIROWARE INLAID OTTOMAN CURTAIN KAABA Maqam Ibrahim

Black silk lamb, with satin floor and tabby style, pink and dark green (now pale) embellishments, embroidered with golden gilt threads and flat golden and silver wire finely drawn to the wadding. The station of Ibrahim (Ibrahim Station) is a small building that includes the stone Ibrahim and Ismail and they are believed to have stood during the construction of the Kaaba. It is referred to in the Quran, And they took the position of Abraham as a place of prayer (Surat Al-Baqara, II, Verse 125). The verses taken from Surat Al-Baqara (second, verses 125, 127 and 260) and Imran (third, verses 96-97) refer to the construction of the Kaaba, to the shrine of Abraham and those who are obligated to God in performing the Hajj. This piece is embroidered on part of the Kaaba garment.
