LARGE 19th C ANTIQUE ISLAMIC PERSIAN QAJAR ARMENIAN BRASS TRAY RUINS OF ANI

For sale we have this breathtaking large antique Persian brass tray dating from the mid - late 19th century during the Qajar era. The tray would have been hand chased either by an Armenian artist at the time, or made for the Armenian market, or a specific Armenian. The central scene is of "Mother Armenia and the ruins of Ani". There are very finely hand chased lines of calligraphic script framing this central scene. Further out the tray, there are eight absolutely stunning scenes framed within arabesque cartouches, including seated couples and a prince on his horse. There is extremely fine hand chased floral work all over the tray. Stunning birds are also chased within the foliage. The quality of the work is breathtakingly fine.
