For sale is breathtaking antique pair of Persian solid silver vases. The vases have been hand chased with beautiful designs.

I love these vases in particular because there is a combination of very fine work on a shiny silver surface, but also higher relief work with a darker background which really makes the designs stand out. The vases have been chased with beautiful birds on branches and more flowers and floral designs. The vases are slighter lower grade silver than the usual 84 grade Persian silver. Probably around 50% - 60%.

The vases have a slightly reddish tone to them due to the higher copper and lower silver content. One of the vases is slightly wider than the other, even though they weigh almost exactly the same. These are handmade so it is natural. The height of the vases is 17.5cm.

One of the vases weighs 420.6 grams. The other weighs 417.5 grams. So total combined weight is 838.1 grams. The vases are in excellent condition.

There is a drilled hole near the base of each. Also two holes at the top rim of each vase. The vases were converted into lamps at one point and this is the reason for the holes.
