Large Islamic Cairoware Ottoman Silver Inlay Revival Mumluk Incense Burner+tray

A wonderful rare incense burner please. So you see the magnificence of Islamic art. Around the scene is a deep and complex chased and inlaid silver and copper border, comprising of many individual elements and with a punched ground. This border in turn encircled by a narrow geometric stepped chevron repeating border, with alternating copper and silver chevrons. The tray has a broad rim which has also been heavily ornamented with entwining silver or silver and copper reserves separated by a flower head. Overall, a very good example of Cairo ware with lots of ornamentation which showcases the various different styles of this work in the one object.
