LG UNIQUE ISLAMIC CAIRO WARE MAMLUK REVIVAL DAMASCENE SILVER INLAY VASE 1880. Antique, fine quality, uniquely formed Islamic Cairo-ware vase in Mamluk revival style - Syria, circa 1880. Tall vase in elegant form - round base with a wider body - tall shoulders and a narrow neck. Beautifully hand-chased and engraved with elaborate designs in Islamic taste showing intricate patterns and large, bold Arabic calligraphy. Thew brass base is inlayed with silver wire around the various medallions. Excellent work quality, precise and elaborate - done by a gifted craftsman.
