Moroccan nimcha sabre (sword) from the 19th century with an earlier blade

Moroccan nimcha sabre (sword) from the 19th century with an earlier blade. Beautiful European imported blade etched both sides with crosses and crescent moon. On te back of the blade is inlaid silver geometrical decoration. The blade is probably from the 18th century (could be earlier).

However, the scabbard is from the 19th century. It is made of wood covered with black leather and silver plated metal. Iron guard and branch with silver inlaid. The grip has a small slot (see the last picture). Blade and grip strongly attached, no movement.

The leather of the scabbard is a bit dry. The bottom fittings of the scabbard have a sligth movement. Length with scabbard 98cm (38 1/2). Length without scabbard 96,5cm (38). Blade length 81,5cm (32 1/8). Weight with scabbard 1143gr (40,32 oz). Weight without scabbard 873gr (30,8 oz).
