Moroccan nimcha sword with a fine blade signed "ANDREA FERARA" - 17th century Imported European blade from the 17th century. Both sides of the blade are marked "ANDREA FERARA" with 4 eyelashes marks.

Andrea Ferara is a very famous Italian swordsmith of mid 17th century. But his signature was very counterfeit during 17th and 18th century. The grip is made of wood with bone pieces inlays.

The grip is a later replacement, probably from the late 19th or early 20th century. The guard has a slight movement.

The guard was recently black painted. Overall length 103,5cm (4 3/4).
