Up for sale is a wonderful antique Fatimid North African small thick & heavy Bronze 2 pieces bracelet. Museum Grade Piece from British Private Family Collection. Origin/Circa: Probably Islamic Fatimid Period in North Africa. Probably 10th-12th AD or Later. This lovely example from probably Islamic Fatimid Period in North Africa, is made of solid bronze, is heavy, and has signs of old age.
The cuff/bracelet was once used as a form of Manilla currency, is beautifully engraved by hand with intricate detailing, and separates into two pieces. It has probably Fatimid period (North Africa 10th-12th AD) hand carved design with, circles and tiny engraved crescent moons etc.Please see photos for details. Status: Private British Family Collection of Islamic Works of Art and Asian Arts. Suitable for Museums display/private collection of Islamic, Middle Eastern and Arabic antiques.
There is also a hole to be able to put a dowel/pin in as well if desired to lock the bracelet. It is in nice antique condition with gorgeous ware from age and measures Approximately 7cm wide/dia.
